Approximately 4 km into our trail network, nestled on the crest of Touton Hill, is Blow Me Down’s Gazebo.
Often a destination for skiers on Saturdays, this is not your typical Gazebo. The Gazebo, a warm and inviting log cabin, is a bustle of activity on Saturdays throughout the ski season. Saturday mornings the Gazebo Gang makes the trek into the Gazebo, gets the wood fire going and busily sets about cooking up a storm for their visitors. Hungry skiers can avail of delicious toutons, beans, and bologna (all if you want the Full Meal Deal!!) Hot chocolate is also available and there is a specialty hot chocolate available upon request.
The Gazebo Gang also has “specialty days”, such as Winter Carnival Monday and St. Patricks Day –where Irish Stew is on the menu.
Many visitors from out of province and out of the country have visited the Gazebo and expressed their delight with the experience in the Guest Log!!!
Don’t miss out on this experience – visit the Gazebo at Blow Me Down Trails!!!! You will want to go back again and again!!!
Visit The Gazebo – identified in the Down Homer as #13 on a list of 100 things to do before you die!!!
