Snowshoeing

Strap on your snowshoes and explore Blown Me Down Trails!

Never skied before? Looking to improve your technique? Want to try skate skiing? Blow Me Down’s certified Canadian Nordic Ski (CANSI) Instructors are here to help you ski better.

The entire ski trail network is open to snowshoers or venture onto the growing network of snowshoe trails for a trek through wooded areas. And you can take a moonlit walk during night skiing, offered Monday-Friday until 9pm.

Get out on the trails with a day pass, or snowshoe all winter with a snowshoe only season pass.

No snowshoes? No problem. Snowshoe rentals are available on site 7 days a week.

Blow Me Down Trails is a multi-sport facility, which means classic cross country skiers, skate skiers and snowshoers share the trail network. Please follow this etiquette when you’re out on the trails so everyone stays safe and has fun.

Fat Biking

Fat bikers are permitted to ride on sections of our existing trail network as part of a pilot project with a goal of developing a trail system exclusively for fat bikers. This trial project is ongoing and currently fat biking is offered on Tuesday evenings with group rides leaving the lodge at 6:30pm (weather and snow conditions permitting.)

Please note that trail passes are required for Fat Biking, even for Blow Me Down season members.

Blow Me Down Café

Warm up. Refuel. Relax.

Blow Me Down’s full service Café serves up home cooked meals and a healthy choices menu. You don’t have to be a skier or snowshoer to have a meal at the Blow Me Down Café – everyone is welcome and you’re sure to leave with a full belly!

Open seven days a week during the ski season, the Café is also licensed. Relax by the fire with a snack and cup of hot chocolate or cool down with a frosty brew.

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to find out about the Café’s Wednesday lunch specials and special events including the popular Steak Nights.

The Gazebo

Nestled on the outskirts of Blown Me Down’s cross country ski trail network is a rustic log cabin known as The Gazebo.

A Blow Me Down tradition, The Gazebo is about 8km round-trip from the lodge. And it’s worth the journey, especially on Saturdays when volunteers head out early to put a fire in the woodstove and get ready to cook up a feast. Hungry skiers and snowshoers can refuel with traditional Newfoundland fare including toutons, home made baked beans, and bologna.

Check at the lodge to see if The Gazebo is open and don’t forget to sign The Gazebo’s guest book before you leave!
