The team at BMD has been working so hard to keep everyone safe and skiing! Here’s a summary of current operations to clarify any questions. Stay safe and ski fast ❄️

With recent announcement of province moving to Al

With recent announcement of province moving to Alert Level 5, lodge is closed effective immediately. This includes washroom facilities. No passes will be sold. Lodge staff will be on site today to allow one member into the locker room at a time to collect remaining skis and gear from lockers. Membership cards must be shown to access the locker room (you can collect your card at the front desk/tracing station if you have not done so already this season) Grooming will remain the same for now. Please watch closely for updates in case of changes. Trails will remain open for skiing with members of your household only. Please check regularly for updates. Stay safe!!!

Dear Blow Me Down members, In light of yesterday’s special orders to deal with the covid pandemic we have had to once again modify our programs and policies to keep our BMD family safe and active. For the next two weeks membership and pass sales are suspended. This means that we will not sell day passes or season passes in that period. Our jackrabbit program will also be suspended for in person practices for that two week period, although our jackrabbit leaders are looking at some options to help our young skiers to learn and grow. We are also aware that some jackrabbits have season passes while their parents or guardians do not. To enable these skiers to ski with a parent or guardian we will sell day passes to the parent or guardian of a registered jackrabbit skier during the two week period. We will not be permitting new jackrabbit sign ups as registration is already at capacity. In terms of using our trails we require that skiers ski only with people in their bubble, that they follow social distancing rules and that they use non-medical mask while in the lodge. We also ask that you limit lodge time to brief and necessary visits. Stay tuned for more information.

Our friends at WCCA tried to make the trail rideable this evening, but due to super soft conditions, we have to cancel this evening’s ride. Please spread the word and we will get back on track next Tuesday!!!!

Tons of fresh snow @bmdtrails means winter is here

Tons of fresh snow @bmdtrails means winter is here and trails r shaping up but soft! Groomers r out getting trails set up for skiing and the WCCA groomed the fat bike trails last evening and today!!! Fat Bike Group ride will go ahead 6:15 but for now will stick to the fat bike specific trails as we wait to see if trails firm enough throughout the day to allow for a different route. Lights are on for night skiing and should be a fantastic day at BMD❄️❄️❄️
